One of the most common symptoms, which the person faces, is inflammation of the affected parts of the body. Another common symptom that the person will face is discomfort. So, such patients should always use compression garments for lymphedema. Several reasons are there as to why compression garments are very useful for such people suffering from the lymphatic disorder. The first and the foremost thing is that, when a person uses a compression garment, then the fluids move in their body in the proper direction rather than getting collected in different parts of the body like arms, or legs, and feet. One of the things that you will know about compression garments is that it comes in different therapeutic forms. So, one way a different kind of therapy is given to the affected parts of the body.

Bandages & Compression Garments –

You can get lymphedema sleeves also; all you need to do is simply check online as well as in the market. For different body parts, you will get different types of lymphatic compression garments, which are different for the legs areas, foot areas, and breast area. For the forearm and the calf areas in the body, there is a different type of compression garment that is available in the market online. Apart from all of these, you also get compression bandages, which can be used if you don’t like compression garments. Those bandages are mostly known as lymphedema bandages. There are some difficult areas in our body where the compression garments cannot reach. So, for such areas, people mostly use bandages. Modifications of these bandages can also be done to fit in the areas like of wrists and ankles

Switch to Hygienic Compression Garments –

Apart from all of these, it is very important for people suffering from lymphatic disorder to switch to compression garments, which are safe and healthy. Hygiene is another important thing that people should note. Compression garments are mostly made of elastic material because only an elastic material can be fit and tight and can make the flow of supply of blood and other fluids in the body properly or in a proper direction. The swollen areas of the body like the wrist, arms, legs, feet, etc. can have healthy blood circulation and healthy flow of the lymphatic fluids. It’s due to the pressure created by the fibers of elastic that there is a proper flow of the fluids. Compression garments can also become loose after a certain time, so you need to change them every 3 months and for a speedy recovery, patients need to use proper compression garments.
