Iverheal 12 mg is a medicine used to kill the parasites present in your body. It has the active Ingredient Ivermectin present in it. Ivermectin belongs to a group of medicines called anthelmintics, this group contains the medicines that are used to kill the parasites in our body. This is one of the top medications prescribed by doctors for treating parasitic infections like Intestinal strongyloidiasis, Hookworm infestations, Pediculosis, Onchocerciasis, Lymphatic filariasis, Helminthiasis, and Scabies. 12 Mg of Iverheal tablet contains 12 Mg of Ivermectin in it.

How does it work?

Iverheal has the Ivermectin which is an anti-parasitic agent which efficiently kills the parasites in our body. When the medicine is taken, the Ivermectin present in the tablet directly finds and attacks the parasites present in our body. The parasites are mostly found in our intestines, eyes, and skin. The Ivermectin finds and attaches itself to the parasites found and paralyzes it. So, the infection would stop and the parasite will die in time. This process mostly happens instantly. This medicine should be taken only after prescription. This can be given to children as well, but they must be over 15 kg of weight.

How to take the Iverheal 12 mg?

The tablet must be taken as exactly as prescribed by your doctor. This tablet is best taken one hour before eating on an empty stomach. Swallow the tablet whole with the help of a glass of water, do not break it, crush it or bite it. Make sure that you consult with a doctor before starting on the medication. The doctor will test you and see the number of parasites present in you and will prescribe the required amount of Iverheal. They will also consider your age and body weight.

Precautions to take

The first and foremost precaution to take while starting on the medication is to follow whatever your doctor has prescribed you. You should not take more of it. You must consult with your doctor thoroughly. You must inform your doctor about all kinds of allergies you have because you might be allergic to Ivermectin or any other ingredient present in the tablet. You must also inform if you are taking any other medications for any other issues because some medications do not go well with the Iverheal.

Warnings to know

You should not be pregnant if you are starting on this medicine. The medicine might affect your baby.

You should not be breastfeeding as well, as very little of the medicine enters the breast milk and it might affect your baby while drinking it.

You should not be taking the medicine if you have alcohol in your system. The medicine will not work well with alcohol in your system.

Side effects of taking the Iverheal.

There are some common side effects you might feel while taking this medication. But do not worry as the side effects will go on their own.  Some of the common side effects are as follows,

  • Rashes
  • Nausea
  • Mild fever.
  • Blurred vision.
  • Eye pain.
  • Trouble in sleeping.
  • Headache
  • Abdominal pain.

These are the common side effects, no need to worry about it as they will fade away on their own. In case the problem persists to stay, contact and inform your doctor.
